Concrete Grinding, Polishing, and Finishing Service
Professional Concrete Finishing Services Across Illinois
We partner with homeowners, businesses, and institutions—or work as a subcontractor—to improve concrete floors with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship we bring to every solar and drilling project.
We Put Our Experience to Work for You
We’ve put in the work—literally—grinding and polishing hundreds of thousands of square feet of concrete across new builds and existing spaces. After trying different techniques and products, we’re fully convinced: polished concrete is the real deal. So much so that it’s what you’ll find in our own office, homes, and sheds.
Polished concrete works well in homes, shops, offices, schools—pretty much anywhere—because it combines durability, low upkeep, and clean design. Durable, low maintenance, and naturally reflective, polished concrete offers a cleaner, healthier flooring solution that performs under pressure and enhances the look and feel of any residential, commercial, or institutional space.
Our Polished Concrete Process
1. Preparing the Concrete
We start by repairing any cracks and filling the joints so the floor is smooth and ready for polishing. We offer a wide range of joint filler colors and concrete staining options to match your space.
2. Grinding the Surface
We use professional Aztec equipment and diamond tooling to grind floors evenly—starting with coarse grits to remove coatings, then refining with finer grits to achieve your desired finish.
3. Applying Densifiers
Once the surface is prepped, we apply a lithium densifier to harden and seal the concrete to strengthen the floor, improve stain resistance, and make the surface easier to polish and maintain over time.
4. Polishing to Your Desired Finish
After the concrete is hardened, we switch to Aztec’s resin-bond diamonds for the polishing stage to add clarity, reflection, and durability—customized to the sheen or high gloss finish you want.
Why Choose Polished Concrete?
Lower Maintenance, Longer Life
Polished concrete practically takes care of itself. There’s no stripping, waxing, or harsh chemicals needed—just simple cleaning. It resists oil, scuffs, and tire marks, and when maintained properly, it holds up beautifully even in high-traffic areas. Plus, its natural light reflectivity can brighten your space and help reduce energy costs by up to 30%.
Better for You and the Environment
This is a flooring option you can feel good about. Polished concrete is low in VOCs, allergy-friendly, and free from harsh coatings. Our Aztec propane-powered equipment meets strict EPA, CARB, and CE emission standards, and helps projects meet USGBC LEED IAQ Credit 3.4 requirements—so it’s as clean for the air as it is for the look.
Custom Looks for Any Space
Every floor is unique, and polished concrete gives you plenty of creative control. Choose your gloss level—from soft matte to mirror shine—along with decorative options like dyes, stamping, etching, or even custom logos. You can also pick from a wide variety of joint filler colors and concrete stains to match your space perfectly. Worried about keeping things cozy? Just add rugs to soften the look and feel—without giving up the clean, low-maintenance convenience of concrete.

What you can expect with our process.
We’ll be honest — concrete grinding, polishing, and finishing isn’t the tidiest process while it’s happening. It involves water, and when that mixes with the dust and fine debris from the concrete, it creates a bit of a muddy-looking slurry. The good news? We’re on it the entire time.
Our team cleans as we go, continuously removing the water and residue to keep things under control. You might see a light film on the floor during the process, but it’s all part of getting that smooth, polished finish. We’ll always let you know if trim, doors, or other finishes should be covered or removed ahead of time to keep everything protected.
